Disaster support

At Adobe, your and your family’s health, wellbeing, safety, and security are top priorities. We understand the importance of being prepared in case of a natural disaster, and we are committed to supporting you every step of the way.

We have put together support resources to help you prepare for and take quick and effective action during an emergency.

Be prepared before a disaster

Take steps now to be prepared in case extreme weather or a natural disaster strikes where you live.

Create your action plan

  1. Review and complete the home emergency action plan, which includes who to call, meeting points, where to go, emergency alerts, and an emergency kit checklist.
  2. Explore How to Prepare for Emergencies from the American Red Cross and download the free emergency app for finding open Red Cross shelters and customizing weather alerts.

Build an emergency kit

Stock a kit with essential supplies like water, food, flashlights, medications, and important documents. These resources can help.

  1. Consider purchasing premade emergency kits from the Red Cross Store or get discounted kits from Preppi or Redfora (you must be on the Adobe network to access the discount portal via Okta). Or build your own emergency kitslearn what supplies you should include.
  2. Get reimbursed for emergency kits and eligible items. Use your Adobe wellbeing reimbursement program benefit (up to $600 annually) to purchase premade emergency kits and other eligible items such as fire extinguishers, flashlights, thermal blankets, and power generators. Medical and food-related expenses are not eligible. Visit wellbeing reimbursement program to learn more.

Consider disaster insurance

Recoop is a voluntary insurance policy that provides a lump-sum cash benefit to help you financially in a natural disaster. Coverage supplements your homeowner or rental insurance and can be selected in $5,000 increments up to $25,000 in coverage.

Log in to the discount portal via Okta to access your Recoop discount and read the terms and conditions. You can purchase Recoop at any time throughout the year.

Get financially prepared

Set up a savings fund for emergencies and review your personal property insurance policy coverages.

My Secure Advantage can connect you with a Money Coach for guidance and resources to help you financially prepare for an emergency or disaster.

Vanguard can help you choose and figure out how to fund an emergency savings account.

Have a plan for finding shelter

If you need to vacate your home, know that Adobe’s business travel portal can also be used for personal travel discounts on flights, hotels, trains, rental cars, and ride services.

Log in to Okta to access travel discounts from Navan. Use the toggle button on the page for business travel and personal travel.

Prepare your pets

Adobe offers a variety of pet services including free, 24/7 veterinary telehealth services from Airvet (create your account with your Adobe email address). Activate your benefit now and download the app so you’ll be prepared if you need pet care and can’t get to your regular vet. For general questions, contact support@airvet.com.

Get support during and after a disaster

Always call 911 first if you need emergency assistance.

Connect with FEMA and Red Cross support

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Red Cross resources typically become available once a state of emergency is declared and are based on the impact of the natural disaster situation.

Take time off

All regular employees, interns, and Adobe-paid temporary workers are eligible to take off up to 20 working days per calendar year for personal and challenging moments experienced during a disaster or epidemic. For details, review Disaster and Epidemic Time Off (DETO).

Get emotional support

Adobe’s employee assistance program (EAP) through Spring Health provides 24/7 crisis counseling and 12 free, confidential therapy sessions per year for ongoing support. Spring Health can also connect you to additional support through your medical plan.

Emotional wellbeing benefits also include the Headspace meditation app and Thrive Global. You can also review EAP information on Inside Adobe.

Get financial hardship assistance

If you're facing financial difficulties, these resources can help you navigate your options.

  • Vanguard can explain how taking a loan or hardship withdrawal from your 401(k) works.
  • E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley can guide you on issues related to your Adobe equity.
  • My Secure Advantage can connect you to a Money Coach for help navigating financial challenges and decisions.
